When you use the contact form we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, telephone number (optional), the service you are interested in, and the details of your project.

We also collect limited technical information automatically, such as IP address and browser type, through standard server logs used for security and performance.

3. How we use it

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, prepare proposals, deliver services you engage us for, and maintain records of our correspondence. Our lawful bases under UK GDPR are legitimate interests (responding to enquiries and running our business) and, where you become a client, performance of a contract.

4. Sharing and storage

We do not sell your personal information. It is shared only with service providers who help us run this site and our business (such as hosting and email providers), under appropriate agreements. Data is hosted in UK data centres as standard.

5. Retention

Enquiry data is kept for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and for up to 24 months afterwards. Client records are retained for 6 years in line with legal and accounting obligations.

6. Cookies

This site uses only essential cookies required for it to function. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, to object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email steven@stevengibbons.dev. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
