1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of this website and set out the general basis on which Steven Gibbons Consulting Limited ("we", "us") provides consulting, development, hosting, and support services. Specific engagements are governed by the written specification and proposal agreed for that project, which takes precedence over these general terms.
2. Proposals and specifications
All work is scoped through a written functional and technical specification. Quotes are valid for 30 days. Work outside the agreed specification is handled through a documented change request and may affect cost and timescale.
3. Payment
Payment terms, milestones, and any deposit are set out in each proposal. Invoices are payable within 14 days unless otherwise agreed. We reserve the right to pause work on overdue accounts.
4. Intellectual property
On full payment, you own the deliverables produced specifically for your project. We retain ownership of pre-existing tools, libraries, and know-how, which are licensed to you for use within the delivered work. Third-party components remain subject to their own licences.
5. Hosting and support
Hosting and monthly support are provided on a rolling basis as described in the applicable proposal, including backup, monitoring, and response arrangements. Either party may end a rolling service with 30 days' written notice.
6. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, our total liability in connection with an engagement is limited to the fees paid for that engagement, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit or data caused by factors outside our reasonable control.
7. Website content
Content on this site is provided for general information and may change without notice. Case studies are shown with the relevant clients' knowledge. You may not reproduce material from this site without permission.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you have any questions, contact steven@stevengibbons.dev.
